1. Nature of Service

Sniffs & Licks provides a digital platform to connect pet owners seeking blood donors with pet owners willing to donate blood.

• Does not collect, store, or supply blood
• Is not a veterinary service, clinic, or blood bank
• Does not perform or supervise transfusions

2. Veterinary Responsibility

All blood donations and transfusions must be conducted under a licensed veterinarian and follow applicable veterinary medical standards.

Sniffs & Licks is not responsible for:

• Medical screening
• Blood typing or cross-matching
• Transfusion procedures

3. Donor Eligibility (User Declaration)

By registering a pet as a donor, the owner confirms:

• Pet is healthy and free from infectious diseases
• Vaccinations are up to date
• Pet is fit for donation as per veterinary advice

Sniffs & Licks does not verify this information.

4. Receiver Responsibility

Pet owners requesting blood agree that:

• They will consult a veterinarian before proceeding
• They understand risks including incompatibility, reactions, and complications

5. Risk Acknowledgment

Users acknowledge that blood transfusion carries inherent medical risks and that Sniffs & Licks is only a facilitator.

Users voluntarily assume all risks associated with:

• Donation
• Transfusion
• Interaction with other users

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sniffs & Licks shall not be liable for:

• Injury, illness, or death of any pet
• Incorrect or misleading user information
• Failed or delayed connections
• Any disputes between users
• Any negligence by veterinarians or third parties

7. User Interactions

All communication and arrangements occur directly between users and are outside the control of Sniffs & Licks.

• We do not mediate disputes
• We do not guarantee user authenticity

8. Prohibited Use

Users must not:

• Provide false medical information
• Use the platform for commercial blood trading
• Misuse donor listings

Violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban.

9. Emergency Clause

This platform is not for emergencies. In urgent situations, users must contact veterinary clinics or animal hospitals immediately.

10. Data Usage & Consent

By using this feature, users agree that data may be shared with matched users and stored for safety, compliance, and platform improvement.

11. Indemnity Clause

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sniffs & Licks from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from use of the platform and blood donation or transfusion activities.

12. Jurisdiction

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

13. App / Website Consent Flow

The app must capture legal consent clearly.

Screen 1 - Registration (Donor)

• I confirm my pet is healthy and I have consulted (or will consult) a licensed veterinarian before donation.
• I understand Sniffs & Licks is only a connecting platform and not responsible for medical outcomes.
• I accept all risks associated with blood donation.

Screen 2 - Request Blood (Receiver)

• I will proceed only under veterinary supervision.
• I understand risks including incompatibility and complications.
• I agree Sniffs & Licks is not liable for any outcome.

Screen 3 - Match Confirmation

• This interaction is at your own risk.
• Sniffs & Licks is not involved in the medical process.
• You release Sniffs & Licks from any liability.

Confirmation action label: “I Agree & Proceed”.

14. Risk Mitigation System

Maintain logs of:

• Consent timestamps
• User agreements
• Interaction history

This helps protect the platform legally if disputes arise.

15. Legal Shield Strategy

To reduce legal risk in India:

• Register as a technology intermediary platform
• Avoid terms like “blood bank” or “medical service”
• Use terms like “connecting platform” and “facilitator”
